Introduction
This awesome programme was started by parents in Kent, and the pilot grew into three ad hoc activities. It has now become a powerful combination of three structured and seamless phases. It empowers parents by giving them the skills and ability to change their lives, their family dynamics, their community and the culture of parenting - forever...
At its core lies the ‘Empowering Families’ course with a practice element and accredited training. 'Awards for All' funded Every Family Matters (our registered charity www.everyfamilymatters.org.uk) to pilot the original programme in partnership with Bligh Children’s Centre and supported by Medway Council.

Is nothing to do with ‘parenting skills’ or ‘behaviour management’ yet powerfully and positively impacts these areas - and more. This unique programme works because it

- empowers family members individually and families as a whole
- helps parents acquire and develop the new skills necessary to bring out the huge potential of today's children
- builds emotional resilience through best use of coaching and emotional literacy techniques
- gives parents the knowledge and skills to positively change the culture of their communities

- builds sustainability through weekly practice in the Family Coaching Café

Family breakdown costs us in excess of £40 BILLION pounds* in direct and indirect costs - EVERY year. So it’s fairly obvious that our current approach is not working. It's time to do something different.The Parent Champion programme is proven to work. It empowers parents to take responsibility for themselves and properly care for their children, and so reduces their dependency on the State. It also addresses the Preventative Agenda.
The relative costs to roll out this programme are minimal – any cost pales into insignificance when compared with £40 billion* – and the returns are immeasurable.

The result
Basically, we show parents how they can feel better about themselves. A powerful transformation occurs when they see and feel that happening. They then want to teach these skills to their children. As the positive effects filter through the whole family, the family dynamic becomes more positive and productive. These parents are so enthused by these changes that they are taking the unique Parent Champion approach out into their community.
As it is within the family, so it is outside in society. It follows, then, that the sooner more families experience these empowering changes, the better our society will become.
